FunderConnect turns connected-car data into a simple daily answer for every funded vehicle: is it where it should be?

From data to decision

The five steps

  1. Your floorplan data sets the context

For each funded vehicle we know the VIN, the dealer, the funding product and whether it’s new, used or a demo.

  2. Connected-car data gives the heartbeat

Once a day, by default, FunderConnect checks whether each vehicle is active, whether it has moved and whether it’s on the lot or off it.

  3. Matched to the dealer’s documented locations

Each vehicle is compared with the dealership and its documented locations, such as compound yards, logistics parks and bodyshops. All of them count as on the lot. Auditor checks help build that list: where a dealer’s funded vehicles are actually found shows which sites it really uses.

  4. Your rules decide what’s an exception

The same location can mean different things for a demo and a brand-new car. Your rules apply the right logic for each vehicle type and product.

  5. Exceptions go to the dealer

Flagged vehicles are sent to the dealer automatically through CheckVentory, before any physical audit. The dealer checks the vehicle or explains it with evidence.

Why context matters

An off-lot signal on its own is noise

A car off the lot might be on a test drive, at a bodyshop or sold. Comparing it with your floorplan data is what turns that signal into a decision, so your team isn’t chasing cars that are exactly where they should be.

Examples

Rules that understand the vehicle

Demo off the lot

Expected. Your data says it’s a demo. It’s flagged only if it hasn’t been back on the lot within the period your rules set.

Brand-new car in active use

Flagged straight away. It isn’t registered as a demo, so it’s most likely sold.

Not reporting

Read against your Auditor checks. Silent but counted on the lot usually means it’s parked in storage. Silent and not found at a check is escalated straight away.

Off the lot

Flagged when it has been away from the dealership and its documented locations for longer than your rules allow. The dealer explains.
